About 16 carolling jobs and 3 concerts completed brings the Christmas madness pretty much to a finish for me. A few thousand pounds in various band bank accounts; the highlight was definitely Scheewalzer, preferably the Goff Richards version, with various "swaying" effects and the delightful waltzing of a passing lady in front of hundreds of shoppers. The concert standing ovation didn't go amiss either. Merry Christmas all.
Well it has been an up and down summer (should that be down and up?). Well done to all my pupils on passing their exams, especially those that got Merit or Distinction. The epic wall at Rose Cottage is coming to an end - I'll miss the friendly folk passing by but not the motorway noise.
Having a half term break doing teacher planning and the tax return! Some nice pictures of latest walls now loaded. Tomorrow it is Saddleworth here we come!
First time doing a mortar cope. Think it went OK. At least the wall looks better than the other repairs. :-)
Finished another stretch at Rose Cottage and started a small repair job in Frampton Cotterell. Redland WB concert tonight - hope my arm doesn't fall off!
